Updated 25 October 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened the JEE (Main) 2027 Session 1 online application form on 24 October 2026. The standard application deadline is 22 November 2026, 11:50 pm IST. The official place to apply and read changes is jeemain.nta.nic.in (opens in a new tab).

These are 2027 Session 1 dates, not Session 2 dates. NTA can change schedules; verify the latest official notice before making decisions. How to apply for JEE Main 2027 online

1. Open the official JEE Main NTA website (opens in a new tab). 2. Under Candidate Activity, select Online Application Form for JEE (Main) 2027 – Session 1. 3. Read the current Information Bulletin, including eligibility, reservation rules, exam-city instructions, acceptable documents and fees. 4. Complete registration using your own accurate contact details, then fill in the personal, academic and exam-paper information requested by NTA. 5. Upload your photograph, signature and any other documents as instructed on the actual application form. 6. Pay the applicable examination fee through the official payment flow. Save your confirmation page and payment reference.

Do not pay agents or enter your login credentials on sites that imitate NTA. The application is only complete after the required submission and payment steps are accepted.

What if you miss the November 22 deadline?

Reporting on the announced schedule says applications may still be submitted 23–26 November 2026 with an additional ₹500 late fee. Do not assume an extension beyond that window. Open the NTA website for any changes or corrections to the fee rules.

When are the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 exams?

The currently announced exam dates are 20–24 January and 28 January 2027. The exact day, shift and center assigned to you will be shown through NTA's candidate services. Exam-city information is not the same as an admit card; use the actual admit card for your reporting instructions.

Eligibility and exam papers

JEE Main is used for admission to undergraduate engineering and related courses at participating institutions. Paper 1 is for B.E./B.Tech; separate papers cover B.Arch and B.Planning. Read the 2027 Information Bulletin, rather than relying on previous years' age, qualification, appearance-year or reservation requirements. Qualifying for JEE Main does not itself guarantee a college seat.
