Free Fire MAX account recovery: lost login, guest accounts and protection
Published 22 October 2026
First: which kind of account was it?
How you recover a Free Fire MAX account depends on how it was set up.
- Linked to a platform login (Facebook, VK, Gmail or X): you can recover it through Garena's account recovery if you bound a recovery email, or by regaining the platform login.
- Guest account: the game data is stored on your device, not on Garena's servers.
Lost the Facebook, Google or other login, and a recovery email was bound
Garena's India support gives these steps:
1. Make sure you have a valid platform account that is different from the lost one.
2. Open the game and go to the login page. If you are logged in, log out from the settings page.
3. Tap the "Account Recovery" button and read the instruction page, then tap "Go to".
4. Enter your recovery email address and tap "Send" to get a verification code, then enter the code in the game and tap "Verify".
5. On the "Account Information" page, check the Player Name and UID of your lost account, choose a third-party platform account to bind with and log in to it.
After that you can log in to the game account with the newly bound platform.
Lost the login and no recovery email was bound
Garena says to contact the platform (Facebook, VK, Gmail and so on) directly to try to get that account back, and it links to each platform's own recovery steps. Garena's own recovery tool needs the recovery email.
Lost guest account
Garena says the data of a guest account is stored on your device and not on its servers, so if you lose the device or the game data is deleted there is no way for Garena to recover it. Garena recommends binding your game account to a platform account, and suggests starting a new account if the guest account is gone.
Bind a recovery email before you need it
Garena says you can bind a recovery email when the game account is bound to a third-party platform and has reached Lv. 5. Use a secure email that is different from the one you use for the platform account and is not shared with others. You also set a 6-digit security code that is used to reset or change the recovery email. A new binding goes live after a 15-day buffer period, which gives you time to cancel an unauthorized binding. To change the email, Garena recommends changing it directly: if you unbind and rebind, the account is unprotected for 15 days.
Other ways to protect the account
Garena's account-protection article advises you to:
- bind a guest account to your own platform account (guest accounts might be lost after version updates and are not linked across devices);
- keep the platform password complicated, change it from time to time, enable two-step verification there and never log in on someone else's device without logging out;
- buy only through official channels and not trust websites or social media apps that promise free items;
- use the official game client;
- check the Login History page in the settings for unknown devices: if you see one, change the platform password and log out from all devices;
- watch the recovery-email binding status, and cancel any binding you did not start within the 15-day buffer period.
Account trading is not a recovery option
Garena says sharing, buying, exchanging or selling a Free Fire MAX account breaks its Terms of Service, and that sharing your login details or your device can lead to a permanent ban.
What this article does not cover
This is not a guide to a banned account. Garena says in its account-ban article that its zero-tolerance policy means a suspension is permanent and final.

How do I recover my Free Fire MAX account if I lost my Facebook or Google login?
