Download CBSE Marksheet on DigiLocker: Class 10 and 12 Guide
Published 24 October 2026
How to download your CBSE Class 10 or 12 marksheet from DigiLocker
DigiLocker is a Government of India digital-document service. CBSE students can access board-issued documents such as Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates there when the board has made them available.
The first thing to check is whether CBSE has already issued your certificate to your account. If not, DigiLocker's National Academic Depository (NAD) explains how to request a document using your examination details.
### If your marksheet is already issued
1. Open the official DigiLocker website (opens in a new tab) or app. 2. Sign in using the account and mobile number associated with your student record. 3. Complete the required OTP or other account verification. 4. Open Issued Documents. 5. Look for the certificate or marksheet issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education and use the document's available viewing, downloading or sharing option.
DigiLocker's CBSE FAQ explains that some student accounts are created using mobile numbers supplied by CBSE. Students may receive an SMS with account-access instructions; these can differ between examination cycles.
### If your CBSE marksheet is missing
1. In DigiLocker, open Browse Documents. 2. Choose Education, then find the Central Board of Secondary Education as an issuer. 3. Select the document you need, such as a marksheet, passing certificate or migration certificate. 4. Enter the details requested for that document, which can include roll number, examination year, name or other board details. 5. Give consent if requested and select Get Document. 6. Return to Issued Documents to view the retrieved record.
The National Academic Depository's official instructions (opens in a new tab) outline this flow. A record must exist with the issuer for retrieval to succeed.
### Why might the certificate not appear?
Possible reasons include a different mobile number on school records, an account-matching issue, an incorrect exam year or roll number, or a document that has not yet been made available. Check the board details and seek help from the school, CBSE or DigiLocker through official channels.
### Is this the same as checking a new result?
No. Result lookup is the step where you check an announced examination result. Marksheet retrieval gets an official academic document once it has been issued. Our existing CBSE results guide covers safe result checking; this article focuses on DigiLocker certificates.
### Keep your educational records secure
Do not give strangers your DigiLocker OTP, Aadhaar number or account password. Use digilocker.gov.in (opens in a new tab) or its official app; avoid unofficial sites asking you to pay to 'unlock' an issued document.
