If a payment fails with a limit error, it is usually your bank's daily cap, not 'UPI being down'.
People search 'UPI limit' expecting one rupee figure. In practice you hit whichever is lower: NPCI's product cap, your bank's cap, or a category cap (for example some merchant or IPO flows differ from a simple P2P send).
Janooji will not quote a 'today's UPI limit' as if it were a live RBI ticker. When we publish a numbered limit, it will be tied to a dated NPCI or bank circular.
