How does net run rate work?
Net run rate (NRR) is a tournament calculation: (runs scored ÷ overs faced) minus (runs conceded ÷ overs bowled), across the whole event. A team that wins big, or loses while batting long, usually moves NRR more than a tight one-wicket win.
What is the DLS method?
DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) resets a chasing team's target after rain or an interruption. It uses 'resources' — overs left and wickets in hand — not a flat run-rate calculation. The par score on the screen is the DLS number at that moment.
Why isn't a fast bowler playing today?
Janooji does not have a live XI for today's match. When a first-choice fast bowler is left out, it is usually workload management, a niggle, a format rest, or a straight selection call. The only authoritative sources are BCCI, the franchise, or the match toss card.
